EuLA's Position on Structural Measures for the EU ETS

EuLA opposes any structural changes to the EU ETS before 2020 and asks for a reality-based assessment of what GHG reductions are still feasible in industrial sectors. Such a reality-based approach should take account of the EU market which is open for foreign competitors; the competitiveness of the EU industry; as well as the remaining technical potential for reducing GHG emissions without cross-media effects A position paper was submitted to the European Commission.
